i just found out about the website www.dw-world.de and would like to tell you all about it because i think it's great. I have been living in Berlin for 6 months and have had a very hard time learning the language... I actually find this website is really although I don't know how high of a level it goes to, it might just be basic. The website ( Read more... )

I'll third Deutsch Welle! I am still beginner enough to have trouble with some of it, but I find the challenge wonderful. The podcasts are great to have on the go, too.

Yup, I love it too! Their radio programme, 'Deutsch: Warum nicht?' helped me soooo much. It's fun & really informative!

Hey, I've been living in Berlin for the past month as well. (I'm just staying here until I go to Uni Kassel in September.) I think a combination of that site and German TV has really helped my german a lot; I subscribed to all of their podcasts and listen to them while running. If you want a fellow english person to hang out with, my girlfriend and I are (almost) always free. ^_^

hey sounds cool! i will add you! but yeah we should hang out for sure!!! what do you like to do in berlin? i go to concerts when i can.. and there is a neat boat thing on wednesdays at some hostel.. i will get more info about it if you'd like..

Heh, I would like to go to concerts if I could find any good ones. I think Gorillaz is going to be here in July, and I want to go to a Die Ärzte concert sometime. ^_^ My girlfriend wanted to go to the Pat Metheny concert tomorrow, but we think we're too late to get tickets, and it's too troublesome. Other than that, we just exist. We're close to lot of bars, so I think I'll probably check some out tonight. ^_^
