People scare me
I started talking to this kid that works at my job. We talked a good while so I can't really remember how things got brought up. I also think some of the shit he said made my brain numb. So instead of trying to rewrite a conversation I thought I'd list some of the key things he said. i'll try to write them in the order it got brought up.
1. George Bush is a great president.
2. Clinton was a joke.
3. The current war is a great thing
4. The O-zone layer is a theory and not proven to exist
5.There is no proof that evolution is real, "a skull proves nothing"
6.ALL Muslims are fucked up.
7.All atheist will go to hell and so will Muslims and thats good because they're fucked up any way.
8.All Science is bullshit (yes, he said that)
I could tell he didn't even understand the theories he was knocking so I tried to explain the theory of evolution and when he was stumped he just said something like, while it all comes down to if you believe in god or not. I realize all of what I'm saying is nothing new and we know people think like think this but I guess it's just more scary when you're talking to the person face to face. Someone so clearly brainwashed by their parents. Not the fact that he believes in god, or that he's conservative, just that he is so closed minded and assumes everything is bullshit despite overwhelming evidence. Yet when it comes to god stuff no evidence is needed or warranted. I really think I should avoid such topics because now I'll never like at this person the same way again, not that I ever really liked him, but still. I wish I could remember of what he said but it honestly made my brain hurt and got light headed listening to him so some stuff is a bit fuzzy. Any way, it's just scary to know that not everyone who thinks like this lives down south.
