With great power comes great responsibility.... *snicker*

So we just got new computers in the office,* and most of them have an identical remote that lets you access the media menu, control volume, fast-forward, rewind, etc. Most of my co-workers don't need theirs, so I've filed them away where we won't lose them.

Then I discovered that audreyovisual's and my remotes - which we're hanging on to because we DO listen ( Read more... )

OK, yes, I was EXTREMELY SURPRISED to find myself looking at a video menu when I didn't expect to. I can't say it was exactly subtle....

Of course, you realize that now we can both claim that watching movie trailers at work was the result of a prankish co-worker - yes, I can blame it on you! And they'll believe me! Heh.

Gosh, you could just carry the remote around, everywhere you go, in case you found someone to mess with.

It's downright Padaleckian in its mischievousness.

I knew you were evil, but the depth and scope of that evil is becoming known to me, and it makes me want to arm myself with a squirt gun full of holy water and take up a position just outside your door.

You'll have to come out eventually, once you've run out of cookies...

We were absolutely howling with laughter about this at S&B tonight.

Downright Padaleckian, hrm? (And will I get to see you on Thursday?)

You're adorable when you're devious. Possibly also devious when you're adorable, come to think of it.

I'm glad to hear that your workplace is a source of joy and juvenile behaviour, simultaneously.

Of course, the joke being funny would actually depend on your co-workers eventually figuring out that this was being done *to* them by someone and wasn't just a random tech glitch, which could result in your being called in to *fix* your own prank...

That would be poetic justice. Stuck doing tech support on your mischief.

On the other hand, you could do the computer-geek equivalent of the old Rice Krispies Snacks commercial where mom spends the whole afternoon watchin' her shows and then dusts herself liberally with flour and a look of exhaustion before presenting the grateful family with yummy Rice Krispie treats!

(Honestly, though, I hate pranking, so I would never actually do it...but if I did, this would be a great one. :D)

Definitely shiny, yes! Actually, they're SO shiny it's been a bit of a problem: they reflect light and colours so much it can be hard to see the screen properly sometimes. Ironically, I'm going to have to cover up my beautiful new screen with some sort of anti-glare layer...
