Thought I'd spend these few minutes in between classes doing this.
1. A genie pops out of a bottle and offers to grant you three wishes. What would they be (you can't wish for more wishes) and why?
Find the right guy, have enough money to live comfortably, and have Congress pass the Fair Tax bill.
2. You are given four free tickets to your favorite sporting event...who do you take with you?
A world series game (which must feature the Braves). I'd take my dad, brother, and sister, cause going to the Braves game back in August was one of my favorite days all year.
3. You have a chance to go backstage and meet any band of your choice - who do you choose?
Relient K
4. If you could make $250,000 a year doing any job in the world, what would it be? Where would you want to live?
I would make that money saying/writing smart things about film and tv, which I could probably do anywhere but ideally someplace in the south, probably near Atlanta. Luckily, this is similar to what I really plan to do, though I won't get paid anywhere near 250,000 a year to do it.
5. God visits you in a dream one night. In the dream He asks you exactly what you want in your lifetime companion - what traits do you tell God to put into the person that you want to spend the rest of your life with?
Religious & moral beliefs similar to my own (at least in the important ways), fairly independent (read: not needy) and ok with me being independent too, family-oriented, likes having smart conversations at least sometimes, some interests in common with me, honest. Oh, and must be willing to ride roller coasters and watch horror movies.
6. Looking back on your life thus far, what are some of your accomplishments that you are most proud of?
Learning to stand up to people. Finishing that journal article & my PhD comps. Making a positive difference in the lives of some of the kids I've worked with at karate & church.
7. You are 65 years old, have been saving for retirement and now have the money to retire and live comfortably. What do you do with the rest of your life? Where do you live? Where do you go?
I don't think I'll want to retire. Seems like it would get boring.
8. You win the Powerball lottery of $360 million dollars. Do you take the lump sum amount of approximately $190
million or do you take the payout of approximately $1 million a month for the next 30 years?
1 million a month for the next 30 years. Otherwise I'd probably find a way to spend it all at once.
9. What do you want to accomplish in the next 5 years?
Finish the PhD, finish writing at least one novel, get a job, find the guy I'm gonna marry.
10. You win a contest and get to choose any destination in the world to visit for 2 weeks, all expenses paid. Where do you go?
Great Britain (England, Scotland, and Ireland)
