Having spotted a Tiassa in the wild, I put into action a cunning plan and was able with both fortitude and stealth to make it my own.
And in honor of one of the great stylistic shapeshifters in modern fantasy, the great Steven Brust, I'm thinking this would be a useful exercise: Focus on the elements that make up my writing style-the ways I like to construct scenes and sentences, the words I tend to use, and how I relate to characters-so I can write in different styles. This seems like a useful skill to have.
