Any one around here interested in dropping a few bucks into a D&D game in order to get his hands on some real prizes (potentially). I have a dungeon planned with $50+ in prizes in it (assuming 5 people with a $10 entry). If this takes off I'll be upgrading the prize packages. Infact, if we get some good response and players prereg and want more than one character. If I can get 6 people to reg at $10 I will put some rulebooks on the line (new). More people means more prizes and bigger prizes.
Of course, the more often we do it, if people don't win, that means Prize roll-up! If the prize isn't won, and I've already bought and paid for the prize, that means more money towards the next prize and more bigger prizes. Say 2 weeks and no one gets a PHB, that means the 3rd week, we might have a PHB, DMG and a MM in there. Maybe we might get a D20 Modern book. Unfortunately it's hard to keep asking the same people to subject themselves to Prize Dungeons for long, especially if they're seeing little to no personal gain, so I might have to go up to a bigger venue a few times.
Maybe I'll go talk to Paul about running some over at his shop. He might go for it if he can make a buck, especially if we buy the prizes from him. Unfortunately catering prizes to some hardcore players like that might be a bit tougher. Maybe we could let him pick out the prizes...
