Genocide lesson
I decided to use Brown University's Choices lesson as the basis for what I'm doing.

The unit included five case studies--Armenia, the Holocaust, Bosnia, Cambodia, and Rwanda. I'm going to suppliment with information about the Stalinist purges, the Rape of Nanjing, and Sudan. The culmination will be a discussion about what they think cnstitutes genocide and what the world's responsibility is in regard to stopping genocides. Not cheerful, but hopefully interesting and thought provoking for the students.
