Positives & Negatives Of The Week:
- Somehow I got suckered into being my churches sunday school teacher (junior class ages 9-14) this is just another case of being in the wrong place @ the wrong time. In one instance I'm glad & happy that I was nominated, but in another I'm like dang aren't I doing enough in the church already??? Cut me some slack Lord (semi-positive)
- I've read like 2 books this week!!! I have seriously gotten back into literary mode & I like it. Boarders books here I come!!! (major positive)
- My sistah Ashanti has begun her final semester @ CMU...it's about dayum time!!! I'm so happy for her. (major positive)
- I have tickets to an India Aire concert in Chicago!!! Sistah Wknd Part-2, here I come!!! (major positive)
- I was listening to the radio this morning (Tom Joyner Morning Show) & they were talking about this 79yr old woman in chicago who tried to rob a bank...yes folks I said 79yrs old. What in the world is going on where senior citizens are becoming convicts. They say if she is charged she could face 20yrs in jail..did they not notice that she is already 79??? She might be gone in half that time. Just put a tether thingy on her ankle & call it a day!!! (semi-negative)
- The 1yr anniversary of Hurricane Katrina has passed & the 5yr anniversary of 9/11 is approaching. This month will forever be a sad, sad month for our country. Take some time out to think about where you were @ those times in history & be grateful that you didn't have to experience it 1st hand as so many innocent others did.(major negative)
- My sistah turned another year older this week & I'm so happy for her!!! She has accomplished so much in her 26yrs of life, I just hope that I can do the same :) (major positive)
- I've had 4 college friends get married this summer...let's also keep in mind that each one of them were younger than me. Does this make me an old hag??? Seriously I wanna get married...I dunno when, but one day it would be nice, but I need some assurance first. How do you know it's time??? How do you know that he is the one??? Ohhh well until I figure it out I will continue to buy JC Penny gift cards & send my congratulations to the happy couple. (semi-negative)
- I have found a new hobby...yea I know just 1 more thing to keep me occupied. Anyway I am now an official SCRAPBOOKER & I totally love it!!! My officemate Rosannah got me involved a few weeks ago. I thought it was for stay @ home mom's or grandma's who have nothing better to do. Well let me tell you, the ladies in my group are a hoot!!! And they take this stuff really seriously, plus it's not easy. Sure it looks simple to put a few pictures in a book & call it a day, but there is a science to making it a great scrapbook!!! Anyway, i'm working on my 2nd book, but if any of my buddies (that means you) would like me to make a book for you I would love it. Just send me some pictures w/ captions on the back & some of your favorite colors & you'll have a great book of memories in a few weeks!!! If you really want a book made holla @ ya girl :) & i'll hook you up!!! (major positive)
