Positives & Negatives of the Week:
- There was a deer in my yard when I got home last night. I just got off work, & went to McDonalds to get some chicken nuggets (funny what you crave during that time of the month) anyway I pulled into my parking lot & I see a shadowy figure near the woods by my front door. I look closer & it's a huge deer, w/ antlers & all!!! I was like whoa animal planet in my front yard cool. But then I was like hmmmmm how do I get in my house??? I flash my lights & even honk my horn & Mr.Deer was like "yo cut that shyt out i'm trying to eat here!!!" Soooo for about the next 20mins or so I sat in my car listening to the radio & chomping on my nuggets waiting on Mr.Deer to go about his way. Morale of the story...deer's eat slow, so bring a sack lunch & go to the potty before you come visit me b/c you could be stuck in the car for awhile. (semi-interesting)
- Getting my hair braided tonight...kinda excited b/c that will save me a whole 15mins of prep time in the morning!!! Sleeping in...ohhh yeah :) But i'm also kinda sad b/c that means winter time is officially here...i only get my hair braided in the winter...Oh the weather outside is frightful but the snow is so delightful.....let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!! (semi-positive)
- I had mac & cheese for lunch & it was amazing!!! As a kid I loved mac & cheese...during college I loved mac & cheese...now as an adult I STILL love mac & cheese!!! Ahhh the simple joys in life (positive)
- I'm enrolled in Medical Terminology for the next 9 weeks!!! In the beginning I was kind of excited b/c I was doing something new, & learning cool new words like CARDIOMALACIA (softening of the heart) & ARTHRECTOMY (surgical removal of a joint)!!! But then reality sunk in & I realized that I would need to study, buy flash cards, take pop quizzes, complete homework, & go to class for 2.5 hours after working 9.5 hours!!! What the hell was I thinking??? (unsure of effects)
Lynn's Weekly Moments of Joy & Laughter:
- Yesterday we had a code #2 (agitated patient) in the hospital...no big deal, it usually happens every few days in CBM (center for behavioral mgt aka psyche ward) so everyone knows to close your office door & chill out until the code clears. Well.....my homie Melissa's (HR Recruiter) office is down the hall from CBM, but she was on the phone & didn't hear the code being called. So after she gets off the phone & leaves her office a patient runs by her screaming at the top of his lungs "NO HE CAN'T HAVE MY ANIMAL CRACKERS...NOOOOO THEY'RE MINE...ALLLLLLL MINEEEEEEE!!!" Then about 3 nurses & 2 security guards come running after him!!!!!!! Dude I love me some animal crackers too, but it's not that serious :) Ohhh & Melissa survived & she's moving her office upstairs next week...LOL I love my job :)
- My 'lil cousin courtney had a boyfriend...yup had him for about a month give or take a few days. Anyway, over the wknd they broke up. Lemme back up, they met @ school...he's a junior & she's a freshman...he plays football & she's in band (crazy that stuff never would have happened when i was in school) he asked her out & she accepted b/c "I didn't have anything else to do so I decided I needed a boyfriend" What The Hell?!?! I don't get kids anymore. Anyway, over the wknd he calls & yells @ her b/c another boy on the team was talking to courtney during lunch & he felt DISRESPECTED. She told him to chill they were just talking about class, he didn't & she said fine i don't tHink this is gonna work & hung up...WHOA Hard Core!!! But this is the kicker...he calls back later apologizing...baby, baby, please I need you, your my heart, I can't breathe w/out you!!! Ummmm it's been like 3 weeks take it easy homie. Anyway he says..."I need us to work this out b/c being with someone younger than me is a good experience...i'm learning alot about life from this relationship. WHAT THE HELL?!?! She is not a science experiment, she's a teenager, shyt your a teenager too!!! "A good experience???" You can't put her on your college application...are you good w/ kids??? Yeah I dated someone younger than me before...you dummy, plus did he really think that statement was romantic??? What a dork...kids, I just don't understand!!! Anyway, courtney is now "talking to" the star quarter back, but "it's not serious b/c it's to soon for me to jump back into a committed relationship right now." WOW.......that's all I can say :)
