By now, you've probably heard that Gary Gygax died. It's a sad day. He really did a lot for the industry. I don't even know if the industry would even have existed without him. He had a profound effect on the video gaming industry too. Final Fantasy started out with spells per day too. Ultima was heavily influenced by D&D and paved the way for great stories to be told in game form. Classics like Deus Ex might never have existed, and other great things like Planescape: Torment definitely wouldn't have.

There's a chance I might be playing Keep on the Borderlands tonight. If not now, then definitely sometime in the future.
