Good news American Express doesn't think I am a terrorist!!!
This has been a really weird experience. For some weird reason American Express decided to freeze my card and submit my account to card review. They needed me to send my past two years tax returns and three months a bank statements. I was really tempted to tell them to shove it because I have been a member of American express since 2002 and have never made a late payment. However, I had racked up a whole bunch of points that I really didn’t want to lose so I decided to go ahead play there game and send them not just what they had asked for but vent my frustration and send a box worth of stuff. Sort of flood what ever sap who was reviewing my account with paper work. I was not sure it would work that way but it made me feel better. Well the sap called me and wanted to personally inform me that my accounts were cleared.
Later I was looking at my year end statement and notice some dude name Bruce Lauzo was also on my account. This was really strange because I don’t know anyone by that name. I think the guy was trying to I don’t knows steal my identity or at leas steal my credit. As it turns out the poor fellow tried to do it while I was being investigated by American Express he was unable to use my account for anything. I called American Express and had them cancel his card and what not. Kind of humorous in a scary way.
