It's a place called Somarium. It is moderately peaceful the majority of the time, however it is better if you are protected nonetheless.

Yes, it's a rather tedious thing. I suppose it's best to explain that you've been taken to another world- temporarily, of course! So you needn't worry too much. If nothing else, I promise you won't be lonely.
