Katrina
As some may already know Dondi and I have been housing two friends (Finney and Johnny) from NOLA. They have lost everything for the most part, except for what they brought with them last Friday. They came in for business and did not foresee Katrina doing what it has done. I also have a cousin Bonny who was living in NOLA also, same story for her, everything she had is gone. I have been trying to reach her for the past few days. My Aunt Pat called me to let me know she is somewhere in Austin, and her cell phone is only receiving messages not calls. Terrible, terrible stuff going on, from the looks of it NOLA is gone. The rebuilding/cleanup will take years. All those homes are sitting in a toxic porridge of waste/gas/oil they will most likely need complete rebuilding.
