John was slowly organizing and packing his things up. He knew he'd made the right decision taking a break from teaching to put more attention into tracking down Yellow Eyes and figure out what his plans were, but he was somewhat surprisingly going to miss it

Ben rapped at the door. "Sir? Do you have a minute?"

"Of course," John said, looking up from his packing. "Ben, isn't it?"

Ben nodded. "Yes, sir. And you're Dean's dad, right?"

John nodded with a bit of a smile. "I am. Among other things."

[momslilassassin]

"You mean it's not a full time job?" Ben replied with an equal smile.

[demons_death]

"It's beyond a full time job," John said dryly.

Ben wondered for a moment if Luke felt that way about him.

"I have an assignment from home, and I've been asking all the teachers' opinions on it," he said, giving John a smile. "Would you mind?"

"Of course not," John said, shifting to lean on the edge of his desk. "Ask away."

"How would you fake the death of a major politician?" Ben asked.

[demons_death]

John blinked. "With or without his knowledge and help?"

[momslilassassin]

"With, but he won't have a lot of time to get used to the idea," Ben replied.

[demons_death]

"And who are you faking it for?"

[momslilassassin]

"The galaxy at large," Ben said. "He's a deposed leader."

[demons_death]

"So there's some people you trust that you can ask to help?"

[momslilassassin]

"I'm kind of supposed to do this myself," Ben replied.

[demons_death]

"You're not necessarily using all of your resources then," John said.
