OMG. SO HOT.
It is 40C out there (104F), without the damn humidex. I hate summer. Hate it, hate it, hate it. I'm lucky enough to live in Canada, where it's cold from October to May, so I really only have to deal with the heat for four months, and even then, it's not so bad until about July and August, but STILL. This is the worst time of year for me. Give me snow, give me ice, give me hail, give me rain. I don't understand people who love the heat. Are you guys nuts? Just asking.
So, I am home with the fan on, getting up now and then to go into the steam bath that is our laundry room. I took up a scandalous FIVE washing machines (three is the maximum), because I cannot be bothered to go down there more than I have to just to respect my neighbours who make naked guest appearances in the stairwell, steal my backpack full of laundry soap and let their kids get their sticky hands all over the elevator buttons. Har har har.
Hey, so I lost my iPod and headphones last night while I was in class! I was SO SAD. After class was over, I was putting my stuff back into my school bag when I realized that I'd lost them, and I remembered that I had been sitting on the bench outside in the hallway. I checked everywhere for it, sort of half-heartedly because HELLO? I LOST AN IPOD A PAIR OF BOSE HEADPHONES ON A COLLEGE CAMPUS! There was no way I was getting them back. On my way out, with my heart hammering in my chest, thinking that I'd have to tell Stephen how boneheaded I was, I decided to check at the lost and found to see if anyone had turned them in, And THERE THEY WERE! I almost collapsed. Security told me that a mysterious good samaritan by the name of Christopher said he found them in the hallway, and I almost started crying when I heard that. It made me feel so warm and fuzzy! I'm pretty sure that he was the dude sitting beside me on the bench waiting for the class beside mine to start, so I'm going to try to find him next week. I have a free movie pass for two here, and they're his with my epic gratitude when I get ahold of him. I'm also going to cut him a giant chunk of Karma soap from work to give along with the passes. Good karma! It works on so many levels. Good samaritans rule!
everybody loves a ding dong,
