Day 3
I made a post as soon as we moved in and I could get my hands on Stephen's computer, but LJ ate my entry, I think. So a quick recap - we moved in, there are boxes everywhere (one of them has my socks, which I can't find, so I had to wear Stephen's yesterday), I can't find the coffeemaker yet and you should see the piles of laundry around.
Unpacking and setting up is really fun so far. I forget that Stephen had a whole life before me (I'm always surprised when people are like, "No, I existed before I met you..."), so I keep coming across all this stuff that he just acquired from when he used to tour, and it blows me away. He has a big drum skin signed by the Cult! And a big filing cabinet covered with all his stickers and security passes. There are a bunch of things we want to get framed and hung up so we can have the Coolest Rock Apartment in the Whole World, ever (all I really have to contribute is an oversize poster of Faith No More from 1991. You should see Mike Patton's hair! I think he's wearing the spandex shorts, too).
Those are our new dishes! They came in other colours, too, but blue was my favourite. 16 pieces for less than $40 at Wal-Mart if anyone's interested.
Other stuff we bought yesterday includes a ceiling fan for our bedroom, a bunch of really fun cleaning supplies that I am very excited to start using and a hand held showerhead (Stephen went all la-di-da and bought the Cascadia. Okay, it was my idea, but he's the one who shoved it in the cart while I was looking for shower cleaner). We also got a 2-tiered corner shower shelf, even though we have a jumbo shower caddy already, because I seem to have a lot of products cluttering up the sides of our tub. I don't know how this happened, I just know that all of these things are ESSENTIAL in my routine.
