Funny stuff keep happening that I keep forgetting to mention in my lj, so here's a little catch-up post.
Well, first, I had a really weird dream the night before my OSU orientation. It's the damn hormones, I swear...I always have the uber wonky dreams when I get my period at night (that's TMI, idn't it? Moving on...).
See, it had the characters of CSI in it, and apparantly the Las Vegas crime lab is made up entirely of wizards (yes, Harry Potter-verse wizards...damn book six giving me HP on the brain...), only they don't use magic when they solve crimes because...stuff. I think there was a legal reason or something; that part's a little hazy.
But anyway, the team ended up solving some case that was sooo impressive, they wound up on the cover of a wizarding world magazine. This in turn led to Witch Weekly offering some kind of modeling contract to Greg and Archie. The dream ended with Sara dropping by on Greg while he was at a photoshoot, complaining that the whole modeling thing was taking him away from the lab too much and giving him a big head...
I think we can all safely assume that my brain is on Smackfarthing. Or a lot of sugar. Something.
Secondly, a very amusing mental flip occured when I glanced at some news headlines on my starter page last week. In bold near the center of the page were the words "Italians Grill Suspect".
...I did not immeditely think of "grill" as meaning "interrogate", despite the fact that I regularly watch, like, four cop shows. Now what does that tell you?
Well, anyway, today I went over to Grandma's to see how she was recovering from her arm surgery (had to get a cyst removed) and made her some soup.
Came home, played some Sims2 (Kate and Sawyer now have another son named Josh. This will be their last kid, I swear), and changed my journal set-up. Not very unique looking, I know, but I like it, which is supposedly really all that matters in the end.
I dunno, I may end up putting it back to the other design, but with different colors. I'm just wishy-washy like that.
The only other thing worth reporting, I guess, is that I'm really glad Uncle Dale and Aunt Linda decided not to stop by on their way to Michigan after all, because I'm not sure how I could explain the dead Harry Potter chalk outline in front of our side door.
