Liver or Leave Her (...Yeah, God-Awful Pun...)
And, hey, I just remembered what it was I was going to write about yesterday but forgot.
I had a dermetologist appointment on Friday. Remember how I've had to take two blood tests for her so far, because first they were afraid the antibiotics I was taking might have had some adverse effects, and secondly because the first test showed up a high level of...something.
Well, it turns out the second test also had a high level of...something. The same high level, actually.
It's call billy-something (bilirubin, I think, but I'm prolly spelling that wrong). It's a chemical in the liver that helps with filtration, or something like that. Usually, a high level would indicate I had a liver problem (gack!).
However, the dermatologist said that since I'm not showing any outward signs of liver problems (jaundice, etc), I probably just happen to have a disorder that makes me have already unusally high levels of...billy-something. Apparantly it just happens with some people, and it's not even like something that has to be fixed or anything...it's just like that.
So I'm supposed to talk to my regular doctor about what she thinks, and just double-check that I don't really have a liver problem.
And I don't have to take new antibiotics anyway, since the facial stuff is just working fine on its own.
