Sister Act...?

Taken fron slightlysoiled:

(Why is Raven both my associate AND my arch-foe....?)

So, me and Gill sat at a new lunch table today with a bunch of fun people instead of sitting by ourselves, per usual. One of them asked us if we were sisters, and I was just like "Huh?", because there is no resemblance between us what-so-ever. I was given the explanation that it wasn't so much about looks but how we acted towards one-another.
And then it hits me. That explains everything. I never realized it before, but I really do feel about Gill the way I would a younger sister...irritated and arggravated a lot of the time, but still loving nonetheless. No wonder I find myself wanting her to give me space, then worrying about her, then getting annoyed with her, then feeling guilty about not being patient with her...
This is just weird.

Today was the first rehearsal for the play. Y'know, the play? That I'm in?
...Did I mention that I'm IN A PLAY???
Okay, I'll stop now.
So far, it looks like this is going to be a lot of fun, but a lot of work. The "French" guy is making an accent that sounds everything but French, the blocking is going to be a bitch, the guy with the most lines is so far severely worring me about his acting or lack thereof abilities, everyone seems to have at least one or two words that they just can't seem to pronounce right, and the one girl is severely misreading her lines to the point where the line's meaning is altered.
It took us three hours (about) just to read through the dialogue...we haven;t tried blocking (stage movement) yet.
I'm tired.
But I'm happy.

And, since I haven't been able to get it out of my head since reading sighthoundlady's post this afternoon:

Boys and girls of every age
Wouldn't you like to see something strange?
Come with us and you will see
This our town of Halloween
This is Halloween! This is Halloween!
Pumpkins scream in the dead of night
This is Halloween; everybody make a scene
Trick or Treat 'till the neighbor's gonna die of fright
It's our town; everybody scream
In our town of Halloween
I am the one hiding under your bed
Teeth brown sharp and eyes glowing red
I am the one hiding under your stairs
Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair
This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
In this town we call home
Everyone hail to the pumpkin song
In this town, don't we love it now?
Everybody's waiting for the next surprise
Round that corner, man hiding in the trash cam
Something's waiting no to pounce, and how you'll...
Scream! This is Halloween
Red 'n' black, slimy green
Aren't you scared?
Well, that's just fine
Say it once, say it twice
Take a chance and roll the dice
Ride with the moon in the dead of night
Everybody scream, everbody scream
In our town of Halloween!
I am the clown with the tear-away face
Here in a flash and gone without a trace
I am the "who" when you call, "Who's there?"
I am the wind blowing through your hair
I am the shadow on the moon at night
Filling your dreams to the brim with fright
This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
Halloween! Halloween!
Tender lumplings everywhere
Life's no fun without a good scare
That's our job, but we're not mean
In our town of Halloween
In this town
Don't we love it now?
Skeleton Jack might catch you in the back
And scream like a banshee
Make you jump out of your skin
This is Halloween, everyone scream
Wont' ya please make way for a very special guy
Our man jack is King of the Pumpkin patch
Everyone hail to the Pumpkin King
This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
In this town we call home
Everyone hail to the pumpkin song
La la-la la, Halloween! Halloween…
Whee!
