So, I went to BioTech this morning, and afterwards I went to the museum for my mentorship. What we're doing in the lab right now is sorting bones from the Danbury site (that's the same site I worked on over the summer). The bones are all getting sent to OSU for analysis, but some of the bones have been placed in artifact bags along with shards of pottery, flint, etc. So I have to open the bags, sort through what's inside, take out anything that's not bone, and occasionally relabel a couple things. A lot of time there were bags filled with smaller fragments, so I'd have to dump them out and go through it to take out the not-bone stuff. Fish scales, small bones that obviously belong to animals, rocks, pottery, flint...then all of that would go in its own seperate bag and get put aside. I think the most annoying part is all the labeling; there's a label on the paper bag, which usually contains two or three smaller plastic bags, all of which not only have the same info written on the outside, but need to have a little paper card inside the bag with the info. And everytime I made a new bag I had to copy that stuff down again. Danbury's site number is 33-OT-16, and the first part of it's catalogue code is 2173A -_-;;
I got back to school in time for the last half of 10th period, and found out I made callbacks after all. Huzzah! So I stayed after and tried out for callbacks...I was called back to read the lines of two characters who are both maids. I feel pretty good about my chances, because none of the other actors with senority (as in, the ones who are officers or have already been in plays) are trying for the same roles as me. And I personally didn't think a lot of the people were doing it very well, but maybe Mrs. Wall (the director) feels difrently, so I dunno. I won't know until Monday...
Tomorrow I only have BioTech; my regular school is off. Over the weekend I need to answer my other OSU essay question, write journal entries for my last two mentorship trips, read more of Wuthering Heights, and study for BioTech. I also want to email Susan and Alma, write some more of my Xena fic, and try to find the new Amelia Atwater-Rhodes book that I just found out came out a month ago. I need to help Grandma clean off her roof patio tomorrow, and I think Lauren will be over later on.
I have a field trip with my mentorship Monday (damn, I'm missing school all over the place here...), so I won't even know if I made it into the play unless Chrissy or Lauren checks for me!!
Well, to lighten the mood, I present the contents of an email forward we've probably all seen before but (at least, as far as I know) we could all use another look at. It's those funny church bulletin typos again!
