"...and all the powers of Hell!"
Damn, you guys. I finally had the spare paycheck-feed and remembered they existed to buy those killer metallic eyeshadows and a nailpolish from the Maleficent collection of that special Disney Villains cosmetics line (and was going to go ahead and splurge on one of the lipsticks and glosses attached to her as well, as you do), and then the MAC site went and sold out of them practically literally right before I was going to place the order. It was more of an overnight thing than 'before my very eyes' but still. I mean -- DAYUMN.
Well. Halloween is coming up, and she is 'The Mistress Of All Evil'. And I know, last I checked, at least one of the products associated with the Evil Queen was sold out too. Clearly the Disney Villains are still kicking arse and taking names in the merchandising biz, you guys; and they're all out of arse. As well they should be. I mean, more power to them, but my fangirly satisfaction doesn't quite offset my "but...but...the SHINY! I wanted the shiny!!" woe.
I know several of the stores at the mall where I work carry MAC product, but...something tells me they never had the 'Venomous Villains' line in-store at Saks or Nordstroms. I mean, just...yeah. Though if I have time to kill and feel like playing a merry game of "reaffirming just how my priorites are 'off' from the rest of the world" some afternoon, I may pop my head in and ask anyway. Because I haven't gotten a salesclerk to ask "You're looking for what??" since a few months ago at Blockbuster, and clearly I'm overdue.
Other than that, you know, nothing unusual going on here same old, same old. My latest projects at the moment are 1) trying to spend more time outside and 2) rereading my Runaways volumes to get me in a more 'super hero-y' mood, mentally and mentality speaking (still no luck on the writing, natch).
Oh, and the first post for the Sweet Drabblethon will be going up on Saturday, in case anyone's forgotten. Remember to do your pimping to your respective fandoms, plskthx?
I'm probably just going to recycle the rules/collections posts from last year and copypasta, unless anyone has any suggestions or reasons why I shouldn't.
