Oh my God, I love this. I am so happy no one can see me right now, with the -- with the emotions. I feel like I am currently the emotional equivalent of clasping my hands to my heart and cooing, eyes bright with sentimental tears!, going, 'Oh, you two!' And it is ridiculous. But that is what this does to me, because it is WONDERFUL. I love how it's so emotional but so them about those emotions. I love that Adelle would keep this child, because there's always been something romantic about her at the center and it so just makes sense that, deep down, she'd respond to the apocalypse with the notion of, ya know, bringing more humans into a world that hopefully they can save. (It's like the Laura Roslin "We'd better start making babies!" spirit!)

Picking up from the Caroline-points-the-gun-at-Adelle scene with DOMINIC POINTING A GUN AT CAROLINE BECAUSE SHE IS PREGNANT WITH HIS CHILD, oh God, what a thrill I got out of that.

“I am positively indifferent on the subject,” she tells him, toneless.Haha, this is such a goddamn epic Adelle line ( ... )

...Your comment makes me joy-arms. \o/ \o/ \o/

Um. Sorry. I should probably try to be all articulate and respond now, huh?

...but you didn't say anything about Dom and Topher...

Yes, I always felt like her character had this odd inner romanticisim that was completely at odds with the rest of her persona, and that therefore this seemed like the most reasoned (if slightly heartbreaking) way for her to react. I'm so glad that I was able to bring that across and you could pick up on it, and that you felt it was right for her and resonated correctly.

I, like, squeed. OH, SELF.

dollsome? What are you doing leaving me feedback twice, and why are you signed in as irony_rocks?

...Sorry. But anyway, serious response to you now.

I just honestly love and am so flattered by the fact that I was able to write something (when I've been feeling so stressed and blocked lately, when I've been scared I'm losing inspiration with *them*) that could get this kind of an emotional reaction out of you. Really. It means so much more to me as a writer than I think, somewhat ironically, words could ever say.

I'm glad to hear that you felt the characterization was right and how they progressed through the scenario worked (because god, it wouldn't be easy), and yeah, I'll admit it, I'm feeling a little self-pleased-edly smug to hear you say that you thought I took the cliche and rocked it. Sometimes I almost feel like I overthink these things which should just be dismissable, that I try too hard, but then I get responses like this, and then everything is all 'So totally worth it'.

So again, thank you. Thank you a lot :)

OK, so generally I have this massive dislike of the whole pregnancy fic cliche, but you totally pulled this off in an entirely non-cliche or trite way. AND I LOVE YOU FOR IT!

Seriously I'm so glad I put aside my initial doubts and reads this because, as always, you really delivered an awesome fic that is just so
them.

Yeah, that's me, taking the cliche and brashly going 'Let's see what I can do with this'. ^^;;

But seriously. I'm so happy and feel very complimented that you thought I really had something with this and made it work for the characters. Thank you so much for your lovely comment.
