Oh my god, I just happened to catch part of a very old Friends rerun on TV, and I was literally laughing out loud for a good two minutes, partially because of the following dialogue, but very much because I knew exactly what Ross was talking about.
ROSS: [on phone with museum] "What? Australopithecus isn't supposed to be in that display!" [listening] "No, Homo habilis is erect! Australopithecus was never fully erect!"
CHANDLER: [overhearing] "Well, maybe he was nervous!"
...and part of the reason I knew it had to be an old episode besides the very '90s clothes and hair and how young they all looked is because, more recently, most scientists do now believe A. afarenis was bipedel and walked erect. I AM SUCH A DORK.
