Each time I read this, the spookier it gets. *hides* I mean, I don't know if he really loves her at this point, or if they just made him love her, to keep him on!

*coughs* Well, I guess I can see where that interpretation would come from, though it wasn't my intention while writing it. More that they've always had (restrained) feelings toward each other and everything that happened made it too hard to keep down anymore ^^;

...Still, it does have a vague Stockholm Syndrome feel to it, eh?

In any case, thank you for reading and commenting.

OH MAN, words cannot express how much I enjoyed this! I was actually sort of pained as I super-reluctantly scrolled down at the very end, just because I really didn't want it to be over! Just -- such a great, great read. You wrote all of the characters so well (I found the scene with Doc Saunders especially fantastic, and you make Topher so Tophery and funny and amoral and delightful, and BOYD, and just EVERYBODY), and the concept was fascinating, and I loved getting to picture all of the different dolls as Laurence (especially Sierra, just because I think Dichen would rock it; she can do no wrong in my eyes). And you portrayed his inner state and his torment so well, and him and Adelle were so great that it kind of just makes me want to go "aldjfadljfal;dkjdalkjfadl;kajsl!" forever because my brain cannot put actual words together to express how much they were FANTASTIC and I LOVED THEM ( ... )

Wow, thank you so much! I'm pleased that enjoyed reading it so much and that you liked how I did the characters (epspecially Saunders, since I wasn't sure I could do her justice - she's so...hard to pinpoint), and that the shippy parts lived up to your expectations ^_^

Dude, if there's any doll I would love to see something like this happen with on the show, it's her. I don't know why, but for some reason I seem to have decided the image of Sierra wandering around acting all gruff and snarky would be the most hi-larious and awesome.

... it would be wildly and wickedly greedy to hope for another sequel, huh?

As much as I would love to, I don't think I'll be writing any more for this particular storyline. I'm quite happy with where it ends, and I think I did pretty much everything with it that I could and wanted to.

Okay, I just reread this (GOD IT IS SO AWESOME, OH THE LOVE), and I just need to point out your reply to me and cackle wickedly:

Bwahahahahaha! This is me, cackling wickedly!

I also love that you have Adelle say "You were a spy, and you got caught," which is almost word-for-word what she said later in The Scene in Epitaph One. The way that so many moments in this series sort of predicted stuff that happened on the show will never stop being awesome.

Lol, oh irony, huh? So much for me not having anything more to do with them...such as, say, a forty part series.

Hee, I'm flattered I was able to make you so happy with it.

I don't think I'll be continuing, simply because I think I've written the story to a good ending point and can't really think where it could go from here. But thank you for your interest. Hopefully, I'll be writing more for this fandom in the future :)

Oh. My. God. This story was freaking amazing!! I seriously cannot contain my grin at end. This whole series was just such a great look into Dominic who is still one of my favorite characters on the show, and you write him beautifully. It broke my heart when he asked Adelle for just a day to be a person again. And when he discovered he was in his own body just made me smile. You also captured the complexities of his and Adelle's relations wonderfully. It kept with how they interact in canon, while also managing to add another layer that could totally be canon. You are an amazing and wonderful writer and I hope you continue to write in the fandom (and more Dom/Dewitt, we do need to know how their dinner went after all ;) ). For now I'll just go back and re-read the whole series. Thanks for writing this!

Well, you're very welcome - thank you for reading and leaving such lovely feedback. I'm happy to hear I was able to do justice to one of your favorites, and that you think my interpretation of their relationship works.

I can't make any promises, but I have a feeling I'll be back for more in this fandom. And probably with more of this pairing (though not more of this particular series - I think they got the ending they need).

ditto to everything dollsome said - especially about making this a trilogy. and i'm so not even kidding about that!

that was awesome. your characterisations continue to amaze me. absolutely brilliant job of capturing the voices and even movements of all the characters. i so clearly felt dom's psychological strain but it never moved into something un-dom-like. gah! i'm not making any sense.

i guess what i'm trying to say is you captured the cool professionalism of dom so well that despite his great reserve in even admitting his own emotions and thoughts to himself, i still clearly felt all the emotional trauma he was going through. that's very hard to do, but you hit every not spectacularly!

LOVED it! more than the first and that's saying a lot!

Haha, thank you. I doubt I'll be writing a third story for this series, I think this part has a good end on its own. But I'm flattered in your interest - and don't worry, I have a feeling I'll be writing for this show and probably this pairing again.

I'm especially relieved to hear you think I hit the right mark with Dominic and everything he was going through in the story. I was very conscious of it while I was writing, trying to never lose the character while still taking it to a place the canon never really had a chance to go. It's good to hear that my efforts payed off.

Thanks again for all your commenting ;)
