remember how you used to say, you couldn't wait 'til tomorrow for a brand new day?

I've been trying to listen to more new music, lately. Over the past couple months I've bought about six new CDs by a variety of artists.

Some of them have been by new people I've never listened to before, but some of them have been groups I've previously enjoyed and decided to revist.
One of these is Blue October, and their new album "Approaching Normal".

It's definitely one of those albums you need to listen to a couple of times - it's grown on me a bit more each time. However, there was one song I didn't need to hear multiple times to know whether I liked it or not...I knew for sure I liked it from the very first time.

It's called "Jump Rope", and since I'm enjoying it so much, I thought some of you might like it too. So here, have a download:
Jump Rope

be strong, don't you give up hope
it will get hard, life's like a jump rope
up, down
up, down
up, down
up, down, yeah
'cus it will get hard, remember
life's like a jump rope

IDK, there's something about me, I just always have this soft spot for songs that are all "life's like this, and sometimes things suck but then they get better, and they're always changing". I think that's why I still love "Everybody's Free (to Wear Sunscreen)" after all these years.

(If I ever get married, I think I want "I Hope You Dance" to be the first song -_-;;)

downloads, things i like, i thought you should know, music
