In Which I Reveal I'm Becoming Dangerously Close To "Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch"
Okay. Because my updates have been decidedly lax on fandom squee about anything other than Repo! lately, I feel I just need to be doing some clarifyin', in case those of you on my flist are starting to assume I just don't watch the beloved Idiot Box anymore:
Lost: Defitely still watching. Up to date, even. All I have to say though, really, is "I love you, Island of Crazy". I've...long given up on expecting Lost to make any sense, and am just along for the ride. Your (here meaning "flist") varying levels of squee and lol make me happy, too.
Battlestar Galactica: LOVING it. Mainly because it continues to do what it has done since the very beginning: break my cold dead heart into a thousand itty shattered pieces. Last episode had me wanting to scream "WHHHHHHY!!!" at the screen, but in a good way (because even though it hurts my soul, and I can see why it makes total sense for That Character). I have not been posting any meta, though, because unfortunatly once BSG gets SO good I start to feel like analyzing it will only ruin it for me. (I have been reading your posts, though...well, skimming. And, um, not responding. Sorry.)
House: ...I keep forgetting this show is on. I missed it, on and off, last season, and I think I've missed every episode that has aired so far. All I know is, Cuddy finally gots a (foster) baby and apparantly Thirteen and Foreman made out. At some point. Or something.
Psych: Ditto, with the forgetting. Plus it airs at the same time as bsg, and...look, I love it to death, really, but the thing about Psych is it's pretty non-continuity-laden. I can probably just catch up again over the summer or something anyway. I think it'll be okay.
Pushing Daisies: ...I know, I know. CANCELED. Plus, I missed A LOT of it near the end there (?) due again to that whole forgetting-when-things-are-on. I'm just going to wait for the DVD. You know I'm totally buying that DVD. (I did see the episode with the other investigation team, though. "YOU KILLED OUR MOTHER!!")
Heroes: I missed last season's finale. Hence, I figured I should probably not watch last night's episode until I had a chance to catch up. Besides, I'll be honest, I've been feeling kind of iffy about Heroes ever since last season. I do hear however from Boyfriend that there was some kind of hilarious TV spot on during the superbowl that I'm sad I missed, though.
The Closer: What I watched instead of Heroes last night. And loved it. As always. I'm not even sure, does anyone else on my flist watch this show? Because it's golden. Wacky detectives, equally wacky hijinks and crime shenanigans. It reminds me of NCIS before it got overly laden with the drama-llama and I stopped caring. The pre-credits sequence alone last night had me laughing so hard out loud, harder than TV has made me in quite some time.
Leverage: I know at least one of you out there watches this one (ficangel, HOLLA!) and I am loving this for all the same reasons I love The Closer, plus it kind of reminds me of vintage Firefly because it fulfills my daily dose of shady amoral rightous badassery. I must confess though, I keep missing this one too. Stupid memory. Stupid TV schedule. I will have to catch up at some point, most def. Woe.
