(No) Shave And A Haircut, Two Bits

It finally stopped raining at about, oh, three o'clock or so.

I walked up to High Street, talked to someone at Evolved about getting my tatto done sometime this month (I was quoted about $270 - the design isn't very big, but there'd be a lot of detail work), bought the latest Buffy comic and windowshopped at Urban Outfitters and Pitaya while I waited for my haircut appointment at the Aveda Institute.

I was a little apprehensive about the whole letting a student stylist do my hair thing, admittedly...and it seriously didn't help that they made me sign "not responsible for mishap or injury" thing before I got seated (yes, there seriously was an injury clause in there, which...look, if the person goofs on your highlights, that's one thing, but I am going to be forced into questioning your judgement if you're telling me there's actually a chance someone on the salon floor is enough of a spaz with the scissors to chop my ear off, you know?). But overall, I found it to be a very good experience. My hair turned out okay, and for only $19 bucks overall I also got a free light massage, mini-facial and some complimentary lip gloss.
The only weird thing, I guess, was since it is a teaching place, the instructors have to look at you both before and after to grade the person. So after I was theoretically done, this other lady comes over and starts combing my hair out and critically snipping a little bit here and there. Kind of strange.

But, my hair's all one length again, and it's a nice chin-length just in time for summer. Again, for under twenty bucks. So, yayz.

...and then I got home and found out Roomie and her man were convinced that since I left the house wearing a nicer top than usual and some jewelary, I must've been going to meet somebody.

*rolleyes* Try my laundry basket is full and I'm down to nothing but the nice stuff, you guys. Nice try.
