Today's BPAL perfume was Tenochtitlan, which sadly did not go over as well as the previous three have. It has a nice sweet, exotic nectar scent when wet, but once it dries on my skin it turns into something that reminds me more of flowery popourri or sterotypical grandmother perfume. Too sweet, too sticky, too airy; too bad. I guess I'll have to put aside this one for a possible future trade. Or maybe give it away to a friend that likes it. To each their own, right?
In other news, in case you didn't know: despite having watched the first two or so episodes of Eureka the last season, I was never able to get into it. The premise seemed funny enough, the plots were kind of interesting, and it had at least two former Gargoyles voice alumni in the cast which always makes for a good time, but...I dunno. We just never clicked.
I tell you this not to diss Eureka or those that watch it, but rather to set the scene for the following piece of information: tonight I'll be watching the premiere of Eureka, just so I can catch that sneak peek of the Battlestar Galactica movie/event/first episode/whatever it's being called these days that premieres in November. Yes, I realize I could easily wait for a synopsis or catch it on YouTube but...new Battlestar footage. After forever. Even if it's just a teensy eensy bit. New.
Now you tell me, how sad am I?
Speaking of tv and sadness, right now I am especially sad that I am broke and cannot buy the Psych season one DVD collection. I really wanted to rewatch/get caught up on episodes before this Friday. Woe.
...But, hey, still: new episodes of Psych starting this Friday. Now that's something to smile about, right?
