The End Is In Sight

Off to the lake for the last time this summer.
Also, only the third time this summer. How sad; I'll definitely have to do something about that this year.

Well, looks like we're at least starting to get into TV premiere areas: next week is the first episode of the new seasons for both House and Nip/Tuck.
I'm not sure which one I'm looking forward to more. How about you guys?

It's also the last episode of this season of The Closer on Monday. And they're having a marathon that day as well, so I can try to catch the few episodes I missed here and there.
I'm totally getting the first season on DVD. As soon as I get a DVD of NCIS season 1, that is. And possibly another MST3K volume as well. Damn finances...

(And in case anyone was curious, I caved and bought the second season DVD of House, which is lovely. I got to rewatch all the House-eriffic season two action [prank wars! House vs God! another "Three Stories"-type episode! Cameron on drugs! Wilson/House subtext!], plus some fun bonus features..."Valley Girl" scene versions? Best thing ever.)

It's probably going to be rainy and miserable at the lake this weekend, so I figure I'll spend most of my time hammering out more slash on my laptop. Assuming my writer's block doesn't persist, that is. But I've discovered that there's nothing quite like having absolutely nothing else to do to get me writing again.

Where did the summer go? And why did I do nothing while it was here?

house, lake erie, nip/tuck, writer's block, tv, summer, vacation, closer
