As you can all see, I've changed the default icon to something...special...for the holiday season. In case you don't recognize it, yes, it's a quote from everyone's favorite emotionally disabled doctor (and he's got a limp, too!), Dr. Greg House from the "House MD" TV series. Enjoy, everyone.
Thanks so very much to all of you who sent good wishes as to my health after the last message. Yeah, I'm too lazy to reply to all individually. Well, thanks very much all the same ^^;;
Large amounts of penicillin, fluids and rest have made me a much much happier and healthier person this time around. I spent pretty much all of this Monday in complete and utter agony (ever had fever chills so bad your teeth chatter?)...on Tuesday I recovered, but chose to spend the day resting and slumping in front of the TV before I felt up to the extreme mental stimulus of studying for my finals on Thursday. On TV, I managed to catch two movies I haven't seen in forever and a day that I totally love to little tiny bits, the animated Anastasia and O Brother Where Are Thou...and anyone who has the soundtrack for either who would be willing to hand over a few song files as a but of extended holiday cheer, that'd be just swell and dandy.
Also, somewhere in there, I think I may have caught an episode of Kim Possible. With Dr. Drakken trying to sell shampoo. In a rap song.
That was the fever, right? The highest I spiked was 103.5...it had to be the fever. Totally the fever. In conclusion: cousins fever.
Anyway. On Wednesday I studied my brains out for Art History, and I think that exam went incrediably well. But my brain refused to retain any more information so I put off studying for Anthro until a few hours right before the exam. I just know I screwed up that one; only about half the questions made any sense when I looked at them. Crap.
But it's over and done now, and Dad picked me up right after exams on Thursday so I was home by that night. Creepy-ass episiode of CSI.
So far, I've gotten a much-needed haircut, gotten the next round of Christmas shopping done (only three more gifts to buy), hung out with
machi_neko a bit, rewatched Love Actually with Mom (best Christmas movie ever! best romantic comedy ever! SEE THIS FILM!!), played the Sims2 some more (must resist...urge to...create NCIS sims...), and kinda-sorta rewatched Peter Pan, since
machi_neko was over, and we talked through a lot of it (but I saw enough to remember how Jason Issacs acted the living daylights out of that role, and how I really really need to get back to work on "Frozen" eventually...)
In conclusion, I expect to be incredibly distracted this holiday season, between the Sims, my friends, my family, possibly my boyfriend coming up for a visit, and all the fanfic writing I have to get done for my requests, so most likely this will be the last you hear from me until after I am reinstated at my campus room and classes resume in the first week of January. I definitly know I won't have any time to read any journals, regardless of whose (nothing personal, of course. it's just...woah, ya'll write a lot; it just makes me head hurt thinking of catching up on the backlog from what's happened this past wekk during my illness. so i won't). I pretty much expect not to make any new posts except for putting up those fanfic requests, unless something majorly important happens, like a bomb being hidden in the Christmas jello, or just maybe I might sneak in a little post the day after Christmas to tell ya'll what I got. Other than that, nope. So...yeah, don't expect to see me for the rest of the month, I guess.
Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!
