It would appear as though my body finally hit it's limit. The past 3 days after I've run, my knees and calves would hurt so bad that it would be all I could do to roll around in my bed in agony for about half an hour. I thought maybe my semi-worn out boots had something to do with it, walking around in them all day and then running. But this morning it happened again, so I know it's not. I normally finish EVERY run first out of my platoon, and this morning I was dead last. So dead last that when I got back everyone else was gone. Half way through the run, my knee just said "Fuck you" and gave up, so I had to walk (and even that was excruciating).

So my Sergeant tried to order me to go to Sick Call, and for those of you not in the know that is a 100% garauntee of a "profile" (a lawful order that forbids you from performing some form of physical exercise until you recover). To most soldiers, this is the biggest insult one can recieve, because it's our JOB to not give up. Fortunately my Sergeant saw my point of view, so he has allowed me to spend the rest of this week on the bike in the gym, and then to try running again on Monday and see how it works out.

I'm so upset by it all. I love running, but I guess running every day is taking it's toll on me.
