[Almaz was already running down the street towards Mao, it was the first place he went to after equipping the only things he had left, a long stick and a gun he had purchased from one of the stores a long time ago. He was surprised it had been left and wasn't melted away or something, but he had managed to find it in the wreckage.]

Mao! Mao! It's all my fault! it's because I didn't trusty their turkey!

Neither did I, but never mind that.

[He surveys his surroundings: wrecked, destroyed buildings everywhere, while corpses of drones litter the place. Then he says, more to himself than to Almaz,]

...what happened here?

I don't know, but I bet it's going to be bad. I've never seen it like this before.

...hmph. Did you get any supplies? Like food, decent weapons, useful things.

Um...

[He hadn't thought to look for food... oh! He lifts up the stick (which used to be a broom) with one hand and then fishes out the battered gun with the other.]

The swords Ashton gave me vanished....

[He holds up his kitchen knife--charred, scorched, and not in the best of conditions, but it's the best he's managed to salvage from the wreckage of his house.]

My sword disappeared too, and I can't cast Ice spells anymore. [He can't believe he's saying this, but...] If your house hasn't been completely devastated, can I stay over? I'm not coming anywhere near mine.

[With the drones and the wrecked comic books, he just doesn't feel like coming anywhere near his house. And Almaz is one of the few people he's actually close to, in Mayfield.]

It's pretty much the same as all the other houses....

[He didn't particularly want to be around it either, the bodies bothered him big time.]

I'm not really sure what to do, it's never been this bad before, at least while I've been here.
