Okay, so my sister dragged me along with her FAM (Friends Always Ministries) for a starwars marathon.
I never realized just HOW cheezeball Episode one was, but I actually have a little bit more respect for Episode II (I've only seen once before...even though I own it) Believe it or not when I sat there critiquing it, it still has some a good plot and the actors are fine (Except Samuel L. Jackson, who is the most miscast Jedi I've ever seen and heard). Plus when compared to Episode I, it's LEAPS and BOUNDS over the first dialogue wise.
Then we went to see the third one after wings at Quaker State. Well...me and another girl didn't have a ticket, but the next showing would let out a good 40 minutes after the rest of the group (they also went to the DLP version AKA Super High Definition) So I decided hey let's go see Kung Fu Hustle!
That didn't happen. When I got to that theater I realized I really didn't feel like reading subtitles cause I was kind of bummed I missed starwars. So I went back and got a refund and instead bought a ticket to Crash. After about 25 minutes of actual movie, I had to leave the theatre. It's a fine movie and all, but it's a bit *too* raw for me. I say rental on that one.
SO >.<
Then I got my money back AGAIN (I swear this guy was tired of seeing me) and they let me back in the theatre again anyways cause I was waiting for someone. I was so bored I watched the end of Monster-in-Law which seems to be a lot better than I expected, then the end of Unleashed, which was sat, but heartfelt. Then I watched the beginning of the interpreter, about ten minutes of kicking and screaming, and the beginning of Monster-in-Law (Wanda Sykes and Jane Fonda are GREAT in this). Also remember I'm not paying for a cent of this. =D
So after almost three and half hours in a movie theater, I have been to six movies...and have not seen any in it's entirety. Good news though is that my parents are going to take me with them to see starwars. SO NO SPOILERS. T__T
