Lots of fun on the Homestead. :)

Haven't rambled in a bit, so here goes. Been the usual lately, things going pretty well. I am back on Prednisone for the allergy-based Eosinophilia though. The Kenalog is too much for their allergy shot regime that's trying to train my immune system, especially since it can possibly knock my immune system out for 2-3 days. :(

Not sure how I feel about the Prednisone really. I will have to combat the massive weight gain in store like mad, even though I'll be taking a low dose every other day. Hoping that works anyways. It seems to, from the use so far but I'm not yet on 10 mg (1/2 a 20 mg pill) every other day. Thursday I had 3 pills, today I had 1 pill, and Monday I will have 1/2 pill. I will keeping track in case I need more.

Here's a dandy photo of me in the examination room. This was before I found out he did not charge me the $40 copay I would have normally paid for seeing him. He's a great doctor so far though.

I've been adding crazy masses of photos to my Flickr, the link being in prior posts naturally. Mostly pepper photos, and then random stuff as needed. I added the pro account since I maxed out my monthly quota though. :/ Worth it so far, I guess. Not as big quality wise as I'd like for some photos but it will suffice for now until I get a host for Laura and I besides our friend's free-to-us Slackware box hosting (twinbee). I conquered the aphids that attacked one plant, and may have defeated the worm and beetles that began to fight me. We shall see, as I may have to get two items still especially made for them. I am leery of using Sevin Dust overly much. Had to this time though...as it was all I had on hand from a friend. The Aphids were easy since it just took soapy water. :D

Got some great news Friday. My brother is home from the Middle East, he's Navy. His ship got in Friday morning and he's back in Norfolk. HOORAAAAAY! :) Of course, I now have friends in the National Guard going over sometime this fall. FAIL. Anyways, he's doing well, has a ton of photos of stuff, and I'll see him when he uses some of his stock of time off. He's done a lot for himself by joining the Navy, and made a lot of positive choices for his future, so I'm glad to see it work out so well.

We loosely spoke about a driving trip together in the next couple years. Basically rent a car, drive up to Boston and meet our family there we've never met, then head over to Nova Scotia and do some research maybe/see some sights, then I imagine swing by Upstate New York and visit family/friends there and then head South again. We could drive from Nova Scotia to where Canada hits New York fairly easily, it would just be a scenic/long drive and so having several of us would be required. lol It's all a pipe dream and may never happen but it we save up our tax return next year, maybe it will. :)

Who knows really. Hope and dreams for the future are all that keep us going in reality. Meeting unmet family and seeing old friends/family long since visited will surely be a valid dream to have over other worldly goods or whatnot. More meaningful anyways.

Weekend is here, relaxing and loafing about. Cleaned off the dining room table finally, as my mother-in-law is having a Christmas in July meal on Sunday. Hooray. Well, I hope you party people are doing well. I will take a sip of wine on your behalf.
