It took me a damn long time, but I managed to pull off every single thing that I cared about. I took over the Overlord position from my old man, beat the snot out of all my competition, subjugated the entire human army, and laid waste to most of Celestia for fun. I got a ton of vassals out of it.
And then the jerks had the nerve to leave! They left me, the great Overlord Laharl! Eventually, only Etna and Flonne were left. And then Etna left because I wouldn't stop stealing her desserts, leaving me with just the Love Freak in an empty damn castle.
There was no way I was taking that sitting down! So I went to fight the "great" Overlord Xenon, figuring that once I did that Etna wouldn't be able to screw with me anymore and she'd come back. Or at least bring her Prinnies back. Do you know how hard it is to mop an entire castle without even a single Prinny?! It's not easy!
But wouldn't you know it, the damn Overlord turned out to be a split personality-type character, and a woman! She beat the snot out of me. Me! The great Laharl! It's Netherworld code to join the party of whoever beats you in a situation like that, but I'll be damned if I'm going to let some secret boss beat me. So it was clear what I had to do! I took Flonne, and after that Adell freak was done with his adventure, we became the secret bosses! ...But then they beat us anyway. Even my anime cutscene plan wasn't enough to take them down! So we just said "screw it" and joined up. Was better than watching reruns all day.
Anyway, eventually Etna got her stolen levels back, we "made up" if you insist on calling it that, and went about our business- hopping through the multiverse, seeking new foes to conquer and Netherworlds to subjugate! Haaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha! It didn't really work. Sure, I took out an Unlosing Ranger or two, and dealt with some weird girl who summons phantoms and a handful of cameo appearances, but it wasn't really a very successful venture- it sucks not being the main character. Who the heck wants to be a secret boss?! It just means you're a challenge to defeat, you can't win once and be done with it!
But the Facility? That I can handle. I'll rule it with an iron fist eventually. That fist will be on fire, and slammed directly into Val's snobby computer face.
