X: Day 6

Got my thing for the DKAID board homies track dropped. Sounds mega hot. Reversed Tim's vocals on this other (short) track so they didn't sound like poo. Working on the Ekman collabo in my head. I'm totally thinking of some kind of classical horror inspired thing, like Edgar Allen Poe going on. I just hope I can pull it off, because I'm totally doubting over here. I know it's not what Ekman will be expecting, but I'm hopeful he'll be like "Eh, that's pretty cool, let me go brick someone up in a wall."

We also had some horror movie director guys over. Mike Conway, Greg Parker (the two directors), and this dude named Kirby that died twice in Blade of Death which we got a private screening of the original (and soon to never be seen) version. We also watched the bonus features from Mike Conway's DVD of his film The Awakening, which unfortunately IMDB doesn't have posted up. It actually looks like a pretty good film, despite its $5,000 dollar budget.

Blade of Death was all about this undead Samurai that needed brains to finish his spell to become a god. It wasn't too awful, but you could tell $400 of its $700 dollar budget went to pizza. :p The Samurai's armor actually looked pretty good. You've got to love the random chick we only see once stomping off after talking to her friend and randomly taking a shower while angry, the terrible acting throughout, Kirby dying twice, and the 6 chamber revolver discharging upwards of 20 bullets without reloading.

The Awakening looked interesting, and I wish we'd have watched that instead of Blade of Death, but what're you going to do when you're just the guy that ordered the Olive pizza, right? Speaking of Pizza, we had this guy that was totally Robert de Niro deliver it, like an hour late. He stuck around for 20 minutes giving this story about how this apartment didn't exist and the map was wrong and so on and so forth. We should have recorded him. :p
