Ono had a pretty normal childhood, growing up with little issues besides the normal childhood ones. However, things changed once he reached high school. During the time he realized he had a crush on Keisuke Tachibana and when he finally faced the man about this crush he was roughly turned down and called a “fag” at the same time. This crushed him pretty well and after a combination of different things, such as witnessing an event with his mother, experimentation with various “sex play” toys, and his wandering into a gay bar not too terribly long afterwards he was transformed into the “Gay of Demonic Charm” and a popular lover.
Eventually Ono went to France to train as a pâtissier under the tutelage of the master pâtissier Jean-Baptiste who was a fairly violent teacher who was known to raise his hand before his voice. However, he and Ono became lovers for a bit before Ono finally left in which he returned to Japan. During his time in Japan he moved from various bakeries and restaurants as he couldn’t seem to keep a job due to fights breaking out over him by the other workers in these places which always led to him getting fired yet again.
Though soon enough Tachibana’s father contacted Ono about a job in a new bakery that was opening up by his son in which Ono would be the head pâtissier which thrilled Ono. When Ono met Tachibana it was at that time that Tachibana remembered Ono from high school, yet Ono didn’t recognize Tachibana in the least bit. Ono offered to take Tachibana out for a drink which accumulated at the end with Ono almost kissing him. Though Tachibana quickly pushed him away, not swayed by his tricks, though it was all more of a test to see if Ono could work with him, which he passed easily. Tachibana also made sure to tell Ono about the fact he was the one who turned him down in high school, which finally got Ono to remember that it was him.
Not long after the ex-boxer Eiji came to apprentice under him, calling him Teach and trying to learn everything that he could from him. Ono pretty easily took the boy on and began teaching him all that he could with a good bit of enthusiasm. However, this little bliss didn’t last too long as Tachibana’s old childhood friend Chikage Kobayakawa showed up at the bakery. Though once his sunglasses were removed Ono was almost instantly smitten with the older man. When it started raining one day after work Ono had gone outside, seeming to adore the rain and offered his hand towards Chikage which the elder readily seemed to take, the two acting like children in the rain.
One day Ono offered to take Chikage out for a drink, in which he took him to his regular bar. During this time Ono devised a little bit of a plan in which he acted like he was a bit too drunk and needed Chikage’s help to the nearest hotel to sleep it off. Chikage had agreed to take him there and once there Ono pulled Chikage down onto the bed with him. As close as they had actually gotten to a kiss Chikage quickly pulled away, apologizing profusely to Ono for almost having taken advantage of him in such a state. With Ono’s plan foiled he couldn’t really do much during then save for trying to reassure Chikage that it wasn’t really like that.
A little while after that one of Ono’s lovers (or former in this case) named Yat-chan by Ono came to the bakery in a bit of an upset state, saying that he had heard Ono was at the bar the other night with a man in sunglasses and had gone to a hotel. Ono tried to calm him down and reassure him after Yat-chan freaked out a little bit about figuring out that it was Chikage who he was with. When Ono said it was nothing, however, he made a small mistake and instead upset Chikage a bit instead. After Yat-chan had left and it was time to close Tachibana promptly slapped Ono, saying that he needed to go apologize to Chikage for leading him on how he did. Ono pretty quickly went and made-up with Chikage, saying that he (Chikage) was too good for him.
Then an upcoming fair causes a bit of panic with the group as Tachibana says that the fair would be a good way for them to get publicity. However, when they’re going to check the booth they’ll be at Ono has a little bit of an issue with the kitchen being seeable from outside the booth. Ono’s never been good with young women and fears that he won’t be able to do this because of the fact young women are probably the biggest dynamic in a mall where they’re at.
Ono is also the one who’s going to have to be the pâtissier who works the booth as he is the best one out of them and thus the choice to make their appearance to the public. Which leaves Eiji back at the bakery as well as Chikage to help run the place and be the waiter there, though this changes fairly drastically. Tachibana comes down with a stye and can’t work the booth which changes to Chikage having to do it which boils even more down to Ono having to do it as Chikage is looked at as somewhat useless for such work. Though Ono doesn’t know how they’re going to do it when he can’t deal with young women himself.
However, he takes an earring from one of the reporters for the fair and by putting that in and mussing up his hair a bit he becomes the “Gay of Demonic Charm” once more and puts on a very strong personality of which helps both him and Chikage get through the fair with success.
Things go on as regular for a bit until a foreigner with a bouquet of red roses appears at the shop and asks for Ono. Ono comes over only to realize it is Jean-Baptiste and is quickly greeted by him by getting his hand kissed and told that he’s loved, once more. After a little tussle between Jean and Tachibana, Ono leads Jean out in which they go to his apartment and, well, have sex once more. Afterwards Jean offers Ono a position in his bakery in which will be opening in a hotel in France at twice the pay of what he’s making at the Antique.
Afterwards when everyone finds out they instantly try and get Ono to stay, Tachibana even going so far as to seeing if he has enough to match the price that Jean has offered. When he finds out he doesn’t he takes Ono out for coffee and offers to have sex with Ono if he’ll stay. Ono just laughs at him and says he really doesn’t want to and that he isn’t going to leave anyway. After getting a little bit chewed out by Tachibana he finally heads back home. The next morning things go bad for Ono when he refuses Jean’s offer and he gets pretty well beaten up, even going unconscious for a bit. However, after Eiji calls Tachibana and lets him know that Ono hasn’t shown up and it’s not usual for him to be late Tachibana realizes that something must’ve happened and with Chikage right with him goes to confront Jean at Ono’s apartment. Before then, however, Jean had threatened Ono that he would break the fingers on his right hand if he didn’t accept. Ono didn’t believe him and kept repeating that same bit over and over until Tachibana and Chikage busted in. Chikage, seeing that Ono was bruised up quickly grabbed Jean’s hand and threatened the same thing and with the begging of Ono he (Chikage) let go of Jean’s hand only after Jean let go of Ono’s. This leads to Jean leaving and not long after, Tachibana.
With a little help from Chikage, Ono goes to clean himself up, saying that he really didn’t care what happened to him and that it was his fault anyway. With a plea for him to care about himself Chikage actually begins to cry a little, getting Ono to forget what he was just doing to comfort him instead.
When Ono returns to the Antique he’s met with a very enraged Eiji who really wants to beat the tar out of Jean, however, Ono turns it around by saying he should come with him to try some of the cakes Jean makes to see just how good he really is.
