Theft Thirty-Five

[Youko is sitting outside on the roof of his apartment building, watching the city.]

[Suddenly, everything falls silent. He tilts his head, and rubs at his ears. He tries mumbling something, but he can't hear it.]

[He growls, and folds his arms. He's not going anywhere if he can't hear.]

[magically appears behind Youko, sword drawn, the tip resting against his lower back just above his tail. No malicious intent, he just enjoys screwing with the other demon]

[Youko can feel that, though, and turns, glaring daggers at Hiei.]

Don't even try it. [He can't hear it of course but he knows Hiei can.]

I wouldn't actually cut it off. A fox without his tail? You'd look ridiculous.

[sheathes his katana, smirking at his companion]

[Youko looks confused, though he can read Hiei's lips.]

Can't hear you. Deaf.

[blinks at him]

You're deaf?

[thinks for a moment before he grins]

In that case, guess now would be a great time to tell you that I was the one who ate the last of the bananas.

...Fuck you. Go get me more bananas, then.

[He huffs and stands up, so he's looking down at Hiei. Grin.]

You can read lips? Damn, that takes the fun out of this.

[frowns up at the fox]

I should just blindfold you, then you'd be delightfully clueless.

No blindfold.

[He twitches his ears, curling his lip.]

This is damn annoying.

How about a pair of handcuffs?

[smirks]

Maybe to you. I find this hilarious.

[He turns, heading for the stairs.]

[darts down the stairs, already sitting on the couch in their apartment when Youko walked in the door]

You take all the fun out of everything, fox.

[He can't see Hiei's mouth from the couch, so just huffs and goes over to the bookshelf. Takes out a botany book and sits down in a chair to read.]

[moves to the arm of the chair, peering over his shoulder, purposely whispering nonsense in his ear, knowing he can't hear him]

[He turns, raising an eyebrow in a very much 'Can I help you with something or are you going to gtfo?' expression.]

[nips lightly at a fuzzy ear, an innocent look on his face though he makes sure the fox can see his lips]

Something the matter?

[He pulls his ear away.]
