--I went to go take my Senior Portraits yesterday. They gave me a free rag..uhm, I mean t-shirt since I got the deluxe package (it's basically my mom's Christmas present...assuming we get it before the end of school let's out). Stupid yearbook, blah, glad I didn't get one. I really didn't even want to take Senior portraits, I would rather be a blank spot in the yearbook, but I know it's important to my mom. Before I went to my portraits I did some shopping downtown. I didn't realize how crowded it gets downtown during the afternoon. I'm used to seeing it at, well, 6AM when no one is there. Driving was kind of difficult. I ended up parking at the Welcoming Center or whatever the hell they want to call that old train station across from Marshall Park. I went into the health food store to see how they priced their incense, but since I wasn't willing to pay 10 bucks for a pack of 12 I left without buying anything. I walked around for awhile, going in and out of shops. It was mostly just trendy stores. I went into the embroidery shop and bought a couching needle so I can finally finish my needlepoint that I started in 9th grade. I went to a couple of other shops to try and find my mom's Birthday present (November 24th). It only took two shops. I went into 'The Giving Tree' and there was a lot of really great stuff. I may have to go back when I get my paycheck cashed and get some bracelets for my Middle Eastern costume. Most of the stuff is pretty expensive but it's high quality and hand crafted. IN any case, I bought my mom a pair of small celtic knot earrings. It was a diamond knot done in sterling silver and it was only $8. I think the Red Haired Saxon should consider going into business with the Giving Tree and selling their stuff at events. I talked to the owner about taking her stuff on the road but she said she'd rather stay. Which makes me think she should consider getting someone else to do the travelling... Just an idea.
