1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?:
-Earned a Master's degree.
-Got engaged.
-Paid my own car insurance.
-Watched the first president I voted for swear into office.

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?:
I never make new year's resolutions.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?:
Not close I suppose, but one of my coworkers at the time gave birth to twins.

4. Did anyone close to you die?:
Grandpa Campbell.

5. What countries did you visit?:
None, sadly.



6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?:
A job that pays more than $8.15/hour...and preferably is more than part time. Oh, and maybe a kitty.

7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory and why?:
August 8, 2009. I got engaged.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?:
I was hoping it would be netting my first professional job...I guess I'll settle for graduating.

9. What was your biggest failure?:
..hitting a parked car in Feb. God dammit.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?:
Nothing serious, I think I had a sinus infection early in the year and maybe a cold.

11. What was the best thing you bought?:
Erm....*shrug*

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?:
Danny, for bein' a trooper and putting up with my shit.

14. Where did most of your money go?:
Tuition, believe it or not I think I spent more on that than rent during a semester.

15. What did you really, really, really get excited about?:
The prospect of getting married and a good job.

16. What song will always remind you of 2009?:
I do not associate songs with years per se.

17. Compared to this time last year are you:
More qualified, but with fewer opportunities. Strange.

Thinner?: Eh.

Richer?: Oh god, definitely not.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?:
work...not that it was possible.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?:
work.

20. How did you spend Christmas?:
I _will_ spend Christmas with Danny in Tulsa, OK unless I magically get a second interview with OWLS in Wisconsin.

21. How will you be spending new years?:
hopefully also with Danny.

22. Did you fall in love in 2009?:
Yes.

23. How many one-night stands?:
None. Unless you count making out with one person at Reunion.

24. What was your favorite TV program?:
Don't watch much TV, the closest thing would be Heroes.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?:
Not that I..oh wait, yeah, someone I worked with at Kent State...Actually several people I worked with at Kent State, none of who are currently working there. Except Lefton.

26. What was the best book you read?:
...something by Chris Moore, uh Somebody's Got to Do It? I dunno, something along that line.

27. What was your biggest musical discovery?:
N/A

28. What did you want and you got?:
Engaged. Degree.

29. What did you want and not get?:
Job :-(

30. What was your favorite film of this year?:

"Up" although "Where the Wild Things Are" is up there too.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old did you turn?:
I turned 24, Danny made me a nice dinner for my present. Chicken and dumplings, it was one of the coldest nights in January too.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?:
..A job, are we seeing a trend here?

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?:
whatever I could afford, usually nice-ish work clothes from Target.

34. What kept you sane?:
Danny, Joelle, Max, and booze.

35. Which celebrity did you fancy the most?:
I have the hots for Jon Stewart. It's true.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?:
Health care mostly.

37. Who did you miss?:
Matthew, among many other people.

38. Who was the best new person you met?:
Amy Fry.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009:
The economy is a sham and until we make it acceptable and affordable to have non-degreed jobs, people who have the talent and drive to work degreed jobs will find it harder to find them. Also, wtf, anyone can apparently get into grad school now.
