gettin' fit

--So one of my pet projects while I'm unemployed (besides writing applications and trying to become un-unemployed) is to try and get into better shape. It's not really about losing weight, although that would be a nice side effect, but honestly, grad school killed what little health I had. So now I'm back on some kind of work out routine...or at least I'm trying anyway. I'm actually doing pretty well I think with some of the endurance stuff, but to be honest I've lost a lot of muscle mass...although my lucks are still fucking hot, omg. Srsly, I should post pictures of my legs at some point.

Here's what I've been doing over the last three days:
Day 1:
maybe 10 minutes of treadmill with a little light jogging (3mph tops)
15 minutes of seated stair stepper
sets of leg lifts, working both inner and outer thighs and some obliques
a set of 50 crunches (yes I can still do 50 even though I'm a fat ass)

Day 2:
20 minutes on the Wii Fit playing various balance games and the DDR wannabe.
(shutup, at least it's something)

Day 3:
20 minutes on the stationary bike
set of 50 crunches
leg lifts
free weights (to try and get some of the flab to magically disappear from my arms...to be honest A LOT of it is muscle)
half-assed pushups (I did them on the chair, and I can't do very many yet)
30 minutes on the treadmill

I'll probably alternate between "serious" working out and the Wii Fit thing just to give my muscles and metabolism some time to catch up. I think I'll mostly stick with the balance games and maybe the Yoga on Wii Fit, but yeah, things are going well.

I have plans to finish an application today, and then another one tomorrow, and another one after that. Other than that it's Netflix all day and thinking about my sweetie.
