Title: [Oneshot] Too Cheap to Turn On the Heater
Pairing: HanBum
Warning: PG-13, boy love~! (the best kind >3 )
Summary: The prompt explains it all
-------------------
The winter was probably the worst part of the year especially living with Kibum... We go through the year with air conditioning galore. Spring is great! Light breezes and warm sun so there’s really no use for the AC, while the summer is AC central besides sitting out in the sun for some tanning (Kibum loves it when I tan by the way) and the nights are amazing. Cool but nothing too harsh just enough breeze to keep the windows open and cuddle next to my lover, Hankyung sighs, shifting on the couch with his blanket.
Then there’s the fall when it’s cooler no need for the heavy jacket just something thin and just a bit of the heater at night. And then there’s winter. This dastardly season just sneaks up on us and this is when my mood changes the most. The deathly air brushing over your skin, get enough of it and it’ll kill you. Just what everyone needs, right? But of course I’m sitting here shivering, mindlessly watching television just what you’d like to be doing on a Saturday night right?
Hankyung shuddered when he felt air run over his cheek. Growling, he threw the rest of the blanket over his head, letting the material slip until his eyes were just above it. He could hear his boyfriend’s footsteps as he approached the couch. The dark haired man couldn't help but growl when he saw him, but ceased when he noticed the two cups the other held. Both had steaming liquid in them and he couldn't help but wonder what it was.
“Hannie, I made you some hot chocolate,” he murmured as he placed one on the table and held the other out to his boyfriend.
Hankyung slipped his hand out from the blanket and grabbed the cup, moaning softly to himself as he felt the heat seep through the cup to his hands. He took a slow sip of the dark liquid, watching Kibum grab his cup and take a swig himself. “Kibum, why is it every year we do this?”
“Do what?” he asked, looking a bit bewildered.
Hankyung couldn’t help but give him a dirty look, thinking that the other was acting naïve on purpose. “I really don’t know what you’re talking about Hannie,” he said in his defense.
“I’m talking about you being too cheap to turn on the heater,” the Chinese man almost whined.
“Oh, that~” Kibum chuckled, sitting back against the couch. Hankyung was glaring daggers at his boyfriend right now he couldn’t believe he could say that so nonchalantly while he was freezing his ass off.
That’s when he felt his little sanctuary being invaded as Kibum moved closer to him. Once he was wrapped up as well he smiled, that charming smile that melted Hankyung every time but at the moment he was trying to keep his façade up so that Kibum knew he meant business. The younger of the two wasn’t fazed by the threatening gaze he just went on to kiss the other, one of his passionate-melting-Hannie-kisses and that was exactly what it did to his hyung.
As they parted Kibum stared into Hankyung’s eyes, “I can’t help but love winter because then we can cuddle and be together more.” He placed small kisses on his cheeks which only helped Hankyung to melt further.
Hankyung sighed loudly, leaning his head on his dongsaeng’s shoulder. He couldn’t believe that he’d given in so easily but then again he wasn’t expecting an answer like that either. He looked up at Kibum and found a mischievous grin, Uh-oh.
“But you know, Hannie we could do something else that could warm you up much quicker than cuddling~” he whispered as he grabbed the other’s cup and pushed his hyung onto his back. Just before the Chinese man could say a word Kibum was kissing him, smothering him with his love.
After that night Hankyung found that winter wasn’t so bad after all.
