It's alive!

New belts, water pump, oil, battery, full tank, and the car is running as if I had never stopped driving it. Shifter has loosened up, although it's still a little off, but otherwise it's purring. It was great to just potter around town running little errands. Met a couple of English girls at the library - unfortunately, they're going home soon, so alas still no expat contacts.

Now, of course, for the old catch-22: need job to finance going places, but can't go places if I'm stuck working.
