I has wheels
Finally got to the bloody BMV on a day when it was open. Despite the usual Moebius lines, damn near failing the vision test in my left eye (must make optometrist appointment), having to take the written test (49/50, I cringe to think that there are people on the road who failed it multiple times), I now have a valid driver's license, and a plate for my car.
Next job is to get the battery charged and the tyres inflated. Needs a set of new belts and water pump installed soon enough, but it should be drivable tomorrow.
How someone who has driving in their soul to the extent that I do can let their car sit for 15 months and license remain expired for 11... really brings home to me how terrible the last few years have been.
