Pass the popcorn

The Republican party's budget... uh... blueprint of a blueprint of a budget is going a long way towards cheering me up at the end of a hard week.

It's some serious comedy gold.

As one person described it, "instead of a budget they have a crayon drawing of a bald eagle high-fiving jesus."

What it doesn't have: Numbers, policy proposals, ways to actually achieve their goals
What it has: The words "tax cuts" in ever-larger, more elaborate fonts. Complaints about the biggest deficit increase since Carter except when we did it in 2001. A whole paragraph whining about the Kennedys. And charts like this:



As an eternal college student, I recognise work furiously scribbled into existence at 3am. This pamphlet is a poor example even of that.

Better, we have Indiana's own Mike Pence to thank for this. He's the one who decided it was ready for the prime-time, and now half the Republican party is mad at him for attention-whoring. It's entertainment for the ages.
