Next bit of media whoring coming up soon, which will also be part of a launch party
'In the Dead of Night' at the Victoria and Albert Museum Lates on the 30th October and all over the internet like a virus!
A bunch of LVG members are involved as well as other cast some of whom I understand are RSC (really stupid chaps, perhaps, anyone?) anyway I understand we will be making a film short to accompany a book launch by
Kevin Jackson and will be over in a studio in Dalston for most of Saturday afternoon and early evening shooting.
I appear to have been given the role of Vampire King and
miss_mordred is the Queen ;-)=, for much of a sequence I will be needed to perform a waltz, of which I have no experience whatsoever apart from arsing around at weddings and whatnot. So this week Kevin came over to my place with a lovely lady called Louise (who, he told me, dances competitively for the Oxford Blues - think like the boat race, but dancing instead). Anyway she obviously moved like an angel on acid whereas I felt much like a lumbering oaf alongside her. But I did get some basic step instruction and posturing advice.
Anyway, that's about all I know about the project at the moment but unless I fall over and break my leg, or worse fall over my dancing partner and break her leg, I'll probably tell you some more about it next week.
Wondering what do do afterwards, should be some drinks, but then whether over to Slimes* or Decadence?
* Slimes, with refurbed areas and reorganised floors is very much improved in my opinion. I've been there twice in the past couple of months and had a wicked time on both occastions.
