Writer's Block: Jackpot
If I won the lottery, I would do a number of things. I would pay off my student loans and my sister's, if she has any left. I would buy myself a hybrid car and repair the van so that my sister would have a working vehicle without problems. I would buy my parents a house so that they wouldn't have to be crammed into an apartment with my older sister and her daughter. I would also buy myself a house and put a good deal of money into a CD and create a college fund for my niece. Depending on how much money is left by that time, I would donate money to Hemochromatosis research, ovarian and/or cervical cancer foundations, and the Humane Society or some other such organization. I also would like to donate the funds needed to create a Women's Studies department at my university and make it available as a graduate program. Another important cause that I would like to donate to is sexual assault awareness and funding for sexual assault examinations, including sexual assault examination kits, sexual assault nurse examiners, colposcopes, and other sorely needed supplies.
