No Breaks
Teaching potions could be going worse, and the kids seem nice enough. No major explosions, no problem. We mostly talked the entire time, which isn't a bad idea when you've essentially got no idea what your students have been taught. I didn't exactly go through, uh, magic high school or whatever you'd call it. The Elders also didn't have things nearly as structured, ironically enough. Not that they were trying, since they let the old place go to Hell fairly literally while I was dead out of contact for a while. Some bastions of peace and order they are.
There are some interesting things just left lying around St. Catherine's. Particularly in the Headmistress' office. The magazines she kept in these drawers are hardly appropriate to have around students. But no, really, we could practically have a field trip through the abandoned corridors and never leave campus, even with how busy the school seems everywhere else. It's...odd.
Unfortunately, I'm far too busy to go exploring at the moment. Besides paperwork, apparently being across the continent and having a new job do not entitle me to time not plagued by my nephews, who can use magic better than they can form words. My sister keeps leaving them with me for her romantic getaways. So, yeah, if any little brats orb into your life at awkward moments around here, it's probably Chris or Wyatt. They're probably just bored, but bored for them can involve playing with dragons, so tell them mommy and their aunties are looking for them, k?
Probably in dire need of a meeting between the teachers and staff as soon as I figure out where exactly we're supposed to do that. Doesn't this place come with instructions? The little pamphlet maps are completely useless.
And not that I have time for it, but there aren't any clubs around here? I don't mean school clubs, but those wouldn't be a bad idea, either. Hopefully people aren't brought here from as far as the UK and Japan and wherever else just to be bored to death outside of class.
