What is it about winter that makes me want to write?
I think out of all the seasonal landscapes, I like the snow covered winter landscape the best. I love looking at the otherwise barren, bare trees covered in icicles and snow. I love seeing the dense evergreens covered in a dusting of powdered snow.
I want to tromp through the woods all day and come back to a warm fire and my warm woman sitting in the living room.
The smells of winter are my favorite. I love the smell of wood burning. I love the smells of leaves burning. Those are the scents of winter, to me. I love the crisp clean air when I take a deep breath.
Winter just makes me feel alive. The beauty of its landscape just cannot compare to anything else.
