A big secret thank you to most of the members of my family, who leave the door sitting open so my cat gets curious and wanders outside. Now she thinks she can go out all the time. And does not want to come back in. And she has no collar, so I have to sit out there and watch her and try to catch her so no one takes her home and keeps her as their own. Or runs her over.
"She'll come back when she's ready," says my not-as-paranoid-as-me father.
I am angered that I now have to buy a collar and those jingly personalized tag things with numbers and addresses and crap so that when certain family members let her escape, maybe some nice soul will give me my cat back.
She never cared about going outside before. Is there a way to make her fear the outside? Perhaps I should buy a large intimidating dog to keep right outside the door? Or keep a running vacuum out there. Or maybe the lawnmower; that would look less strange.
*Sigh*
I should move out. All the other kids are doing it.
